Our client is a proud Canadian manufacturer. They take great pride in the craftsmanship that goes into all their products, with elements of design, engineering, machining, prototyping, testing and manufacturing that are all done in-house.

They are currently looking for a dynamic, content creative, e-commerce proficient marketing person. This experienced individual will take the lead on internally updating existing marketing material, generating novel work, and identifying new ways to reach consumers. A Day in the life of the Product Marketing Manager

Reporting to the CEO, the ideal candidate will support the in-house creation and distribution of digital content towards building brand awareness, audience development and engagement, and revenue optimization.

As the Product Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Develop and execute branding and brand strategy
  • Write, review, edit, and update content for our website, blogs, and marketing materials
  • Conduct research and interviews to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about the subject matter, and contextualizing findings
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market, competition, trends, and our customer needs to identify target segments, product positioning and channel differentiation
  • Use social media to engage consumers, respond to questions or complaints, and to promote company initiatives
  • Working in close collaboration with sales and customer service, support and contribute to the go-to-market plan, sales enablement materials and marketing campaigns to create product demand and customer repurchase/upsell/cross-sell
  • Collaborate with internal departments to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems
  • Oversee the creation of print and digital collateral, including the planning and creation of video content
  • Manage brand asset library and brand visual consistency across the organization
  • Manage social media channels and company website metrics
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content

What you bring to the organization

  • 7 – 10 years of relevant marketing experience and a proven-track record in social media management and content creation
  • Experience in creative concepting, art direction, photography, film, graphic design, and copy development that align with a brand vision
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • An advanced understanding of MS Office Suite
  • An advanced understanding of SEO best practices
  • Knowledge in Google Analytics and Google Ads
  • Experience analyzing data to monitor and measure performance/effectiveness and plan ongoing improvements to campaigns
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing
  • Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The capacity to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy
