Founded in 2017, We Are One Composites is a locally owned and operated composite manufacturing company focused on production of the highest quality mountain bike products including carbon rims and our new full mountain bike, The Arrival. We Are One Composites is a proud Canadian manufacturer pioneering the composite manufacturing space in the mountain bike industry. We are One is growing manufacturing capability in Kamloops; elements of design, engineering, machining, prototyping, testing and manufacturing are all done in-house.
We Are One is currently looking for a Director, Sales & Marketing to own the sales and marketing strategy and vision for the organization. Reporting to the CEO, the Director, Sales & Marketing will ensure that department employees, sales plans, and marketing strategies are organized and aligned to propel the company towards increased market share and greater brand recognition

This role is particularly suited to an experienced and creative sales and marketing professional that is passionate about collaboration and has the ability to inspire and coach across multiple skillsets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving sales growth, building brand awareness, and leading successful sales and marketing teams. A Day in the life of the Director, Sales & Marketing role and responsibilities:
- Maintain overall responsibility of the sales and marketing components of the business
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase market share and revenue growth
- Lead the sales and marketing team to achieve sales goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners
- Develop and implement effective branding and advertising strategies to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Plan, optimize and oversee the sales and marketing budget
- Create and implement marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including, but not limited to digital, print, and social media
- Work closely with product development and engineering teams to ensure product positioning and messaging align with customer needs and market trends
- Develop and manage sales forecasting and reporting processes to ensure accurate revenue projections and achievement of sales goals
- Coordinate with the product development and production teams to ensure product quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, including sales trends, customer satisfaction, and market share
- Manage the sales and marketing budget and ensure effective use of resources.
- Hire, train, motivate and regularly monitor performance of staff
- Act as a hands-on manager, coaching, motivating, inspiring and mentoring staff
- Maintain a positive working relationship with team members, strive for harmony and teamwork across all departments
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the brand and build industry relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to stay ahead of the competition.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles; experience in the mountain biking/adventure sports sector is an asset
- Proven experience in creating a shared vision and go-to-market roadmap
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
- Hands-on experience strategizing and negotiating complex sales deals
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to be hands-on and proactive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly conscientious and attentive; uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
- The ability to communicate in a positive, confident, and respectful manner to internal and external stakeholders
