Job Overview

We Are One is looking for a Demould technician that is responsible for the removal of moulds from injection and insert moulds, using appropriate tools and following documented processes. Additionally, the ideal candidate must inspect the components for any visible defects and package according to customer specifications.

A day in the life of a Demould

As the Demould, you will:

  • Properly remove composite components from bagging and moulds
  • Utilize hand and powered tools
  • Baked resin removal and release systems
  • Ability to work with Supervisor’s established priorities to assure workflow is sustained and attending to other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Advise management of best manufacturing practices
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to memorize part names, which customer they belong to, and specific demolding processes to each individual part
  • Ability to properly unload parts
  • Ability to be multifunctional and assist different departments so the workflow is sustained
  • Collect, configure, and prepare molds for demoulding operations.
  • Perform demolding operations with a high degree of accuracy and ability to control the force and speed required for the process.
  • Utilize hammers, air chisels, air guns, and other tools to demould components safely and efficiently.
  • Separate and package components per customer requirements
  • Visually inspect components for defects and document findings
  • Reassemble molds after demolding operations
  • Create, document and implement proper demolding techniques and practices
  • Properly store and maintain demolding tools
  • Adhere to all safety and quality regulations
  • Record production data

Skill Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to use small hand tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, manual routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
  • Must be willing to work well under pressure as part of a strong team

  • Minimum High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Technical training in injection molding and related knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Experience handling and operating a variety of tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
